چکیده

We investigate the Volterra ecosystem driven by correlated noises. The competition of the predators induces an increasing in population density of the predators. The competition of the preys, however, leads the predators to decay. The predators may have better stability under strong correlated noises. The predators undergo a sensitivity to a random environment, whereas the preys exhibit a surprising endurance to this stochasticity.

Modeling Maintenance Effort by Means of Dynamic Systems

The dynamic evolution of ecological systems in which predators and preys compete for surviving has been investigated by applying suitable mathematical models. Dynamic systems theory provides a useful way to model interspecie competition and thus the evolution of predators and preys populations. This kind of mathematical framework has been shown to be well suited to describe evolution of economi...

Four-Dimensional Discrete-time Lotka-Volterra Models with an Application to Ecology

This paper presents a study of the two-predators-two-preys discrete-time Lotka-Volterra model with selfinhibition terms for preys with direct applications to ecological problems. Parameters in the model are modified so that each of them has its own biological meaning, enabling more intuitive interpretation of biological conditions to the model . Moreover, the modified version is applicable to s...

Dynamical Behavior of a Stochastic Ratio-Dependent Predator-Prey System

Ecological systems are mainly characterized by the interaction between species and their surrounding natural environment 1 . Especially, the dynamic relationship between predators and their preys has long been and will continue to be one of the dominant themes in both ecology and mathematical ecology, due to its universal existence and importance 2– 4 . The interaction mechanism of predators an...

Trophic Level, Food Preference and Feeding Ecology of Rachycentron canadum (Linnaeus. 1766), in Hormuzgun province Waters (Northern Persian Gulf and Oman Sea)

The aim of this study was to assess the ecological factors associated with feeding by Rachycentron canadum (cobia) in the waters of Hormuzgan Province, Iran. Specimens were collected seasonally from Sep. 2014–Sep. 2015 from the Ferdows-1 survey ship and from landing areas in the city of Bandar Abbas. A total of 577 cobia were collected (340 male, 237 female) (20–161 cm Total length). Our result...

Outage Probability Bound and Diversity Gain for Ultra-Wideband Multiple-Access Relay Channels with Correlated Noises

In this paper, Ultra-wideband (UWB) multiple access relay channel with correlated noises at the relay and receiver is investigated. We obtain outer and inner bounds for the IEEE 802.15.3a UWB multiple access relay channel, and also, a diversity gain bound. Finally, we evaluate some results numerically and show that noise correlation coefficients play important role in determining relay position.
